Brandon Flowers was born on June 21, 1981 in Henderson, Nevada and moved to Nephi, Utah when he was 8 years old. He lived in Nephi until his junior year in high school, when he moved back to Las Vegas. His parents raised him and the rest of his family as active members of the Church. Flowers has claimed to be a practicing Mormon in several interviews but admits that his rock and roll lifestyle and his religion don’t mix well. Although he admits that he has occasionally had alcohol and smoked, he tries not to.
