Ty Detmer won the Heisman Trophy his junior year in 1990, the same year he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He went on to a lackluster career in the NFL, playing for the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons. He currently lives in Austin, Texas, and says he would come back to the NFL if any team needed him.
