NBA and survivor star Scot Pollard LDS?


Scot Pollard MormonScot Pollard is a retired NBA basketball player. During his time in the NBA, he played for five different teams, but the bulk of his time was spent with the Sacramento Kings and the Indiana Pacers.

He is more recently known as being a contestant on Survior: Kaoh Rong during the 32nd season of the reality television show. He was voted out on Day 27 and became the fourth member of the jury that season. He came in eighth place. During his time on the show, he mentioned that he was born into a Mormon family but never took to the church.

Pollard was born in Murray, Utah, but grew up in San Diego and Kennewick, Washington. He was one of 6 children and his parents were active members of the LDS faith. Pollard said in an article in the Akron Beacon Journal that although his family was devout Mormons, he never embraced the religion.

Pollard was known in the NBA for his peculiar hairstyles, which included a Mohawk, a single pony tail, and a bald head.
