Hulk Hogan said that "Mormon Ball" is most violent sport

This story claims that famous wrestler and reality TV star, Hulk Hogan, was on Late Night with David Letterman (usually the story dates it in the mid 1980s) and Letterman asked him what the most violent sport he has ever participated in. Hulk Hogan responds with "Mormon Ball". Now I have played my share of LDS church basketball games and they can be violent, but I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan has done more violent sports in his life.
There is no documented proof that Hulk Hogan ever made this claim.
